Marcus Rashford missed a massive opportunity to secure a dramatic victory for Manchester United in their FA Cup clash with Liverpool.
United took the lead early at Old Trafford through Scott McTominay but were pegged back on the brink of half-time after goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Mo Salah.
Erik ten Hag’s side persevered however, and substitute Antony fired home in the closing stages to draw the hosts level.
With the back-and-forth clash heading towards extra-time, Christian Eriksen found Rashford with an inch-perfect through ball that split the Liverpool back line deep into stoppage time.

Though it appeared Rashford has squandered a chance to move his team into the semi-finals of the FA Cup, further review revealed that even if his strike had been on target it may not have stood.
Replays showed Rashford may have been fractionally offside when the through ball was played, potentially sparing Liverpool from what would have surely been a fatal blow.
