Gareth Taylor is on the brink of signing a new three-and-a-half-year contract to stay on as Manchester City Women boss.
Taylor signed a new one-year deal last summer despite the club failing to win a trophy and missing out on Champions League football.
But 51-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season this term, with City joint top of the Women’s Super League and still in the League Cup and FA Cup competitions.
City are understood to be extremely pleased with the way Taylor has got his team playing this season and have decided to reward him with a new long-term deal.
Taylor’s players also think highly of him and have been impressed with his management and tactics in the last six months.
