David Datro Fofana has been teased for missing an open goal from three yards – with some detractors labelling it the ‘miss of the season’.
The Burnley striker did well to escape his marker and should have doubled their lead against Brentford but he completely fluffed his lines.
Jacob Bruun Larsen had put the Clarets 1-0 up with a penalty after 10 minutes but Fofana could not score as half-time approached.
The match could have huge permutations in the relegation battle, with Burnley starting the day 10 points from safety and Brentford beginning it five points clear of the drop zone.
