Leeds fans absolutely bouncing. The worst possible start for Chelsea.

I said they hadn’t had a good start, and it’s just got worse, they are behind after just eight minutes.

It is lazy defending at the back as they give the ball away straight after a goal kick, following Dan James’ looping miss moments earlier.

Leeds press well before Mateo Joseph finishes with aplomb, what a start for the away side, but a horror show for the hosts.

Raheem Sterling should be doing better there.

It looked like he didn’t know what to do when the ball fell in his path, he neither shot nor crossed, and he ends up scuffing it out.

Not been the best of starts for the Blues.

Not been the fastest of starts from either side.

As Kieran said, the Leeds fans are making a racket in the corner, they are certainly enjoying themselves!

Not much else to report from the match so far, unfortunately.

It’s a big night for all the Blues involved, if they lose tonight, that could be their season effectively over.

I wouldn’t exactly see Jarrell Quansah as an experienced Liverpool player, but going by this, he is tonight!

A big night in store for the young Reds!

It seems like some are not fans of Mauricio Pochettino. The pressure is on.

We knew Pochettino would make changes after Sunday’s final, which left a fair few exhausted, not least Conor Gallagher, but I’m surprised to see Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo starting again together.

Leeds will look to exploit their tired legs, I’m sure. On another note, it is Harrison Murray-Campbell’s first time in the bench – well-deserved according to those who watch a lot of the youth teams.

Klopp’s Kids’. It’s been a phrase I’m sure you have all seen lots of times following Sunday, and for good reason.

As expected, Jurgen Klopp has fielded a team full of youngsters tonight as Liverpool’s injury crisis continues to take senior players with each passing fixture.

However, Reds fans will not be worried. After their academy graduates’ display at Wembley on Sunday, Klopp will believe his starting XI can get the job done.

Can the kids do it again?

Well, Russel martin has rung the changes at Anfield.

With Liverpool’s young line-up, you feel the Saints will feel they can win tonight. It’s a big evening for them.

Well, we could be in for some great ties in the quarter-final.

Obviously, the one that catches my eye is that if both Manchester United and Liverpool win tonight, they will face each other at Old Trafford.

Also, Manchester City vs Newcastle could be a great tie, they have had some brilliant games this season already, including in the Carabao Cup, which the Magpies won.

I’ll certainly be watching this one!

Could we have an all-Championship tie?

Not if Chelsea have anything to do with it.

Well, this could go in an entirely different direction, but there is potential for a North West Derby in the quarter-finals.

That is a mouth-watering prospect – not guaranteed of course!

Well, both Wolves and Brighton will be happy with this tie – they have to win first though.

Coventry fans, would you like Wolves? There could be a Midlands derby on the cards.

After missing last weekend’s win over Sheffield United after getting injured in the warm-up, Hwang Hee-Chan starts tonight.

Gary O’Neil makes five changes to the side from Sunday.

The big news from Molineux is that Australian forward Cameron Peupion starts for Brighton.

Peupion returned to the club after spending the first half of the season on loan at Cheltenham Town.

He has only played one minute of senior football this campaign and this is his first start for the club.

There is a Chelsea supporter behind the home dugout at Stamford Bridge who has been holding up a sign since 90 minutes before kick-off proclaiming that he believes in Mauricio Pochettino.

It is quite a statement of faith given the manner of Chelsea’s defeat to half of Liverpool’s youth team on Sunday but there are still plenty of Chelsea supporters who share the sentiment.

The fault at Chelsea lies squarely with the haphazard recruitment policy. Pochettino is still trying to make sense of it. He badly needs a win tonight to buy himself the time to do it.

Mauricio Pochettino has certainly had his critics following Chelsea’s Carabao Cup final disappointment, and it’s clear to see why.

When the side sits 11th in the Premier League and loses a cup final in the manner that his did, you’re always going to come under fire.

However, Pochettino believes he still has the backing of the owners.

They (the owners) showed their support and after the game, Todd sent a nice message.”

It’s not in my hands. We have a very good relationship with the owners, and with the sporting director.

It’s up to them to trust or not. It’s not the coach’s decision.

Is this Leeds strong enough to do damage at Stamford Bridge?

I understand rotating your team, but I must admit, I thought Daniel Farke would pick a stronger side tonight.

There is still bags of attacking threat though, as Dan James comes into the starting 11.

Well, there you go, this line-up shows how much this competition means to Mauricio Pochettino.

Although he may have made five changes to the side that lost the Carabao Cup final to Liverpool on Sunday, the team is still very strong.

Alfie Gilchrist is the name that pops out to me in this line-up, it’s a big night for the 20-year-old. You can guarantee he will be flying into challenges.

It will be interesting to see who Mauricio Pochettino goes with tonight.

It’s an important game for them, but after such a grueling battle at the weekend, he may make a lot of changes.

Both Wolves and Brighton sit just two spots apart in the Premier League as they battle for a place in Europe next season.

However, tonight will be big for both clubs for a different reason. Whoever wins at Molineux will start to let themselves dream of Wembley.

The FA Cup is also another route into European football, which we know both teams want to have next season.

Brighton came out 4-1 winners in Wolverhampton back in August in their league clash, however, Gary O’Neil has had his Wolves side firing on all cylinders since then so I can’t see that scoreline happening tonight.

It’s going to be a tight affair, who else is excited for this one?

You could really see the pour-out of emotion from Jurgen Klopp after Sunday’s Carabao Cup triumph – it meant a lot to him.

The German manager even said ‘(It is) easily the most special trophy (I have ever won)’ following the trophy lift, and it’s easy to see why he believes that.

Klopp will not want that to be the last trophy he lifts in the air for Liverpool, they are still fighting on three more fronts, and he will no doubt want the Reds to be back a Wembley in May for the FA Cup final.

Well, the road to Saturday 25 May continues tonight at Anfield, a quick turnaround from their domestic cup win.

Tonight has the possibility of being a late one for all of us.

There are no replays in the FA Cup from the fifth round onwards, so if any of tonight’s fixtures finish level, they will go to extra-time and then penalties, if needed.

Last night we saw Newcastle beat Blackburn on penalties after their match went the distance. It was an incredible watch.

There was also an extra-time winner from Abdul Fatawu for Leicester as they squeezed past Bournemouth 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium.

An extra 30 minutes is not always the best to watch, but they have been this past week.

I’m sure both Chelsea and Liverpool will want to get it done inside normal time though.

Tonight is huge for Chelsea.

Sunday’s Carabao Cup final loss to Liverpool was a devastating blow to Mauricio Pochettino and his team. With all the injuries Liverpool had that day, it was a glorious chance for the Blues to pick up silverware, but they just couldn’t take their chances.

Chelsea sit 11th in the Premier League, so realistically, the FA Cup is their last chance for success this season. It is also the most likely route into Europe.

I’m interested to see how they respond tonight against a firing Leeds United – they looked legless at times in extra-time at the weekend.

They will need to get back in their stride early doors this evening, though!

Another evening = more football!

This is now the fourth day in a row of domestic cup football. It started with Liverpool vs Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final and ends with them both aiming to secure passage into the FA Cup quarter-finals.

For the Blues, tonight is a big match to see how they can recover from the major disappointment of Sunday’s final loss to the Reds.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team face a Leeds United side that are absolutely flying in the Championship after an emphatic 3-1 comeback win over leaders Leicester City. It will not be an easy task for the home side.

Meanwhile, Liverpool left Wembley stadium jubilant after Virgil van Dijk’s 118th-minute winner, but they also left London with 13 senior players on the injury list.

With only four days passing since the final, who will be fit enough to face Southampton tonight? You’d usually expect a young side, but they may be knackered too after several academy graduates featured on Sunday!
