A young boy has been left with facial injuries after he was reportedly bitten by a dog, police have said.
The three year old was ‘attacked’ in Bramshall Park in Uttoxeter at around 10am this morning (Tuesday, March 11).
Officers were called to the scene and no owner was located in the immediate area.

The dog has since been described as black and white with curly hair. It was of a medium build and was off the lead at the time of the incident.

Following the ordeal, the boy was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Staffordshire Police are now appealing for information as they investigate what happened.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for information after a three-year-old boy was bitten by a dog in Uttoxeter.
“We were called to Bramshall Park at around 10am this morning (Tuesday 11 March) following reports that a boy had been attacked by an off-lead dog.
“The child was taken to hospital with facial injuries which are not deemed to be life-threatening.
“The dog is described as black and white, medium-sized with curly hair. No owner was located at the scene.”
They added: “We would urge anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch with us.
