Zara and Mike Tindall have built a £30m empire through brand partnerships and deals.

Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest granddaughter is estimated to have earned about £15m from her business interests, while her husband is believed to be Britain’s fourth highest-earning former rugby international.

The 43-year-old Olympic silver-medal-winning equestrian has a large amount of companies who consider her to be a “partner.”

Some of these household names include Land Rover, Rolex, Samsung and investment house Artemis. She is also said to have earned £500,000 from her long association with sportswear brand Musto.

Earlier this month, Zara suffered a dramatic fall while riding at the Burghley Horse Trials.

However, she also met her commercial obligations by launching a new line of ruggedly chic winter coats for one of her array of sponsors, reports The i.

At the event for Musto and Fairfax & Favor, she said of the £400 coats: “I’m safe in the knowledge that I’ll stay warm and dry when it inevitably rains.”

Meanwhile, her husband has amassed millions through multiple ventures including his appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here where he finished fourth in the 2022 series.

Zara is represented by Sports & Entertainment Ltd (SEL), an Australia-based talent agency. The company was founded by James Erskine, a one-time trainee doctor turned sports and celebrity agent.

He previously managed the equestrian career of Zara’s father and Princess Anne’s former husband Captain Mark Phillips.

She has had a deal as a brand ambassador for Land Rover, said to be worth £200,000 a year, since 2006, the same year that she won BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

The mum-of-three has also became a “testimonee” for watch brand Rolex in 2006, with an estimated annual return of £100,000.

Sources close to the Tindalls have pointed out that she and her husband have always been scrupulous about ensuring that they pay their own way in life and take no money from the public purse.

Royal insiders argue it is also unfair to expect non-working royals to achieve complete separation from their family links.
