Zach Wilson’s ex girlfriend, Abbey Gile, got engaged to his college roommate and former BYU teammate Dax Milne.

On Monday, Milne – a receiver for the Washington Commanders – posted pictures of a wholesome beach proposal to Gile. The newly-engaged couple also posed for a selfie as the bride-to-be flashed the massive diamond ring on her finger.

‘She said yes,’ Milne wrote on Instagram with a heart and ring emoji.

While many were congratulatory towards Milne and Gile, others pointed out the proximity of their engagement to Wilson’s proposal to model girlfriend Nicolette Dellanno.

The Denver Broncos quarterback popped the big question to Dellanno on June 30 in front of the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Upon returning Stateside, the pair were seen getting handsy during the Wilson family’s 4th of July getaway in Utah.

Before their respective engagements, Gile and Wilson dated from high school through 2022.

Gile was labelled the ‘homie hopper’ after she began dating Wilson’s roommate and childhood friend. However, she quickly turned the moniker on Wilson after revealing that he was romantically involved with one of his mother’s friends – which she cited as the reason for their break up.

‘He was sleeping with his mom’s bestfriend… that’s the real homie hopper,’ Gile wrote in a comment then.

Wilson never confirmed the rumors while his mom, Lisa Wilson, was bombarded by people trying to find out which of her friends was involved with Zach.

After getting drafted by the New York Jets with the 2nd overall pick in 2021, Wilson finally saw decent minutes last season after Aaron Rodgers went down with an Achilles tear on opening night.

However, Wilson struggled as the Jets finished 7-10 after shuffling through their backup options.

He was traded to Mile High City with picks in the sixth and seventh rounds of the draft.

As Wilson gears up to compete against Jarrett Stidham and Bo Nix for minutes, Wilson said he’s ‘excited for the challenge’ and expressed optimism about his reset in Denver while at OTAs in May.

Denver will open their season against the Seattle Seahawks on September 8.
