Airbnb has become a popular way to let out homes in recent years.
After all, if it’s going to be empty for a while, it’s a great way to make some money, and ensure someone is getting use of the property. But one woman has vowed she’ll never do it again.
Habiba Abdelall, known as @yahabibaaa on TikTok, recently opened up about her experience. She was left devastated by how her guests treated her lovely home.
What made matters worse was, they only stayed for one night, so she was shocked to see it in such a bad state. She claimed they refused to leave at checkout time, and didn’t even lock the door before they left.
This was just the first in a series of very unforunate events, according to the content creator. They left various objects on the dining table – including dirty glasses and an empty toilet roll.

In the candid clip, Habiba said: “The floor is so messy. So dirty. I have never seen is this dirty before. They’re nasty. Literally, what are they doing? Look at this table – oh my god, so dirty.
“The bedroom – disgusting. Look at that. So gross. Look at that stain on the bed. I don’t even want to touch that. So disgusting.”
As she takes you on a tour of the house, you can see everything from stained bedsheets to rubbish that’s been left to takeout boxes being thrown around the property. A used condom also appears to have been left in the bed.
Meanwhile, the bathroom was left “soaking wet” and they broke her bin. Habiba said it’s the “worst” she’s seen her apartment since she started letting it out.
More than 40,000 people have liked the video since it’s been shared, and reactions were pretty mixed. Some didn’t think it was that bad.
One person wrote: “As an Airbnb host, I charge a cleaning fee and I actually clean after the guests. Hope that helps.” A second replied: “All this after one day. You’re lucky it wasn’t for a week. That is ridiculous.”
A third also added: “Everyone saying it’s not that bad… I’d like to see your houses. That was after one night.”
Some didn’t think it looked awful though, as one said: “It’s not bad at all. Have you seen how people leave hotel rooms?” And another chimed in with: “As an Airbnb cleaner, this is not bad whatsoever, lol.”
Meanwhile, an Airbnb spokesperson said: “Our customer support team proactively contacted the host to offer support, and we have cautioned the guest following this report. Issues like this are rare, and AirCover reimburses hosts up to $3 million in the rare event of property damage during a stay, while our global customer support team is on hand 24/7 to help.”
