Wolves are keen on West Ham striker Danny Ings, though Hammers boss David Moyes is reluctant to lose Ings at this stage after Michail Antonio’s setback in his recovery from a knee injury.

West Ham want a wide player and have added Ajax’s Steven Bergwijn to their options.

Danny Ings joined the Hammers in 2023 and has scored three times for the London club, though Wolves are reportedly keen on signing the former Southampton star.

While Wolves look to bolster their attacking options while top-scorer Hwang Hee-Chan is away at the Asia Cup, West Ham have added Steven Bergwijn to their watchlist.

Bergwijn fits what the Hammers are looking for in wider areas, with the young winger having score 24 goals in 62 games for the Eredivisie side.

Ings has yet to score for West Ham this season in 17 appearances across all competitions and has made just one start in the Premier League.

The 31-year-old’s current contract runs until 2025 but he may be open to a move that would enable him to play regularly.

Hwang Hee-Chan is Wolves’ leading scorer in the league this season with ten goals, while Matheus Cunha has scored six times but the arrival of Ings would provide them with additional firepower.

Wolves are looking to avoid breaching the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules.

Ings possesses plenty of Premier League experience from his spells at Burnley, Liverpool, Southampton and Aston Villa.

Gary O’Neil’s side are currently in eleventh place in the Premier League and feel that the signing of Ings could help them push on even further.

O’Neil was left frustrated by refereeing decisions in Wolves’ 1-1 draw away to Brentford in the FA Cup third round.

The Wolves boss claimed that Brentford should have had two players sent off, including Keane Lewis-Potter for grabbing Nelson Semedo during a melee late on.

O’Neil said: ‘I didn’t get any explanation. I’m on two yellow cards as well, harsh cards, so I had to tread very carefully.

‘I don’t think I deserved the last two, so I’m not really sure where the line is, so me asking questions and having conversations can result in me being booked.’
