Wes Streeting MP has addressed “sausage-gate” after Prime Minister Keir Starmer made an unfortunate mistake during his Labour conference yesterday.
Speaking about calls for a ceasefire, Keir Starmer said “release the sausages” rather than “release the hostages” and created a stir online.
Speaking about the moment, Streeting told GB News: “I thought it was an outstanding speech with a vision and hope for the future.
“Sometimes as politicians, whether in interviews or in speeches, we might stumble over a word.
“Whenever that happens to any of my colleagues, whether they are friends or foes, I always just think there. But for the grace of God, go I.”
