A nutritious diet is a core component of any sustainable, healthy weight loss strategy.
One weight loss expert took to YouTube to share the top breakfasts for ladies looking to shed excess fat.
Dr Anthony Balduzzi, founder of The Fit Mother Project – Fitness For Busy Moms, recommended that slimmers enjoy homemade overnight oats.
The weight loss expert recommended whipping up “super simple”. He said: “This is great for you if you’re following more of a plant-based, vegan or vegetarian lifestyle.”

The expert recommended stocking up on some organic rolled oats and adding them to a mason jar with hemp seeds, chia seeds and almond milk.
Leave these to soak overnight and wake up to “delicious” overnight oats that are “rich in all these vitamins, minerals, fibre and protein”.
He added: “You can add a scoop of peanut butter on there and you have a nice, simple, quick and easy meal.”
The expert added that leaving the oaks to soak “allows for more nutrient absorption”.
Slimmers can consider adding some fresh fruit on top. One expert revealed the “number one” fruit for weight loss – and it specifically torches tummy fat.
This is because they are high in fibre, low in calories, filling and packed with metabolism-boosting anthocyanins.
Fibrous foods are great for weight loss because they are satiating, making slimmers less likely to reach for unhealthy snacks throughout the day.
The British Nutrition Foundation supported the benefits of a fibre-rich diet. The experts explained: “Dietary fibre cannot be fully digested and so it provides fewer calories per gram (only two calories per gram) compared to carbohydrate, protein and fat.
“Choosing fibre-rich foods can help us feel fuller too. These are also great to include in your diet because eating plenty of fibre is associated with a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, type two diabetes and bowel cancer.”
As for protein, this is also satiating and helps support muscle mass. According to the experts at Harvard Health, the best protein sources are beans, peas, and lentils, nuts and seeds, lean meats, fish, dairy and soy products.

Anthony’s main rule for a weight-loss-friendly breakfast is that it is “standardised”. He recommended picking one or two “go-to” options and “nailing it every single day”.
This is because having a healthy breakfast creates “momentum”, encouraging you to stick to a nutritious plan throughout the day – and consistency is key.
