Baroness Kennedy put the phone down on Patrick Christys on GB News presenter and refused to debate with him whilst on live television.
During the debate, the Baroness said: “We’ve made a rule in Britain to say that asylum seekers are not permitted to work and many of them become depressed because of that, because they want to work and make a contribution, they want to be able to pay.”
Christys asked the Labour peer what evidence she had to support this and she said: “People like you said the same thing about the many Jews who came to this country in the 30s.
“And they have added hugely to the benefit of this country.”
Christys labeled this an “outrageous accusation” and the debate got so heated that the Baroness ended the call by saying: “I find that you’re not someone who debates fairly and you should do. It’s disgraceful. You’re not an interviewer that I respect, and I’m going to close this down now.”
