• Benn pushed Eubank Jr just one day before the latter is due to fight in Riyadh

  • Eubank Jr, 36, returns to the ring against Kamil Szeremeta this Saturday night

Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jnr reignited their rivalry as they came to blows ahead of the Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol Riyadh Season card on Saturday night.

In 2022, the pair of British fighters were due to battle it out in a fight that would rekindle the rivalry between their families from the nineties.

However, the fight was cancelled after Benn was charged by the UK anti-doping agency for failing two drugs tests. He was cleared thereafter before UKAD successfully appealed the decision.

Eubank Jnr is preparing to fight Kamil Szeremeta on Saturday night in his first fight in over a year, and Benn will be in the stands to watch his rival.

And when the two fighters crossed paths in the build-up to the event, things got heated as Benn pushed Eubank Jnr following a war of words.

Footage has shown that Benn stepped up to the 36-year-old as he cuts weight before his bout, and stated he is ‘lucky’ that he is fighting tomorrow.

‘You are lucky to be fighting tomorrow, I would f*** you up right now,’ Benn told Eubank Jr.

‘I’ll see you tomorrow, after the fight. I’ll f***ing give it to you. Yeah, of course, mate. You’re f***ing lucky you’re fighting tomorrow.’

Benn then proceeded to shove Eubank Jnr before Security got involved to separate the pair before things got out of hand.

However, the 28-year-old fighter from London continued to take aim at Eubank Jnr, who remained calm.

‘I’ll f*** you up,’ Benn continued. ‘Watch what happens, dead boy walking. I’ll give you a good ass-beating in front of 60,000, that’s what’s gonna happen. I’ll be there tomorrow, arrogant p***k.’

Benn, who is undefeated, has fought twice while his case rolls on, but, speaking in September, he believes the ban will soon come to an end.

‘I’ve been [proving my innocence],’ Benn told Sky Sports. ‘Forget the narrative that’s being pushed. I was cleared a year-and-a-half ago by the people who had done the test.

‘I had passed all my Ukad [tests] during that same period. So, their authority I had passed. [Critics] say I haven’t done this, I haven’t done that, but the reality is I’ve gone through every avenue possible to do that.

‘This is something I’m willing to fight for and have fought for, and I’m glad it’s coming to an end. I haven’t bent, I haven’t swayed on the truth, and that’s all that matters to me: my integrity.

‘I couldn’t accept the ban. If I ain’t done something, I won’t raise my hand to it. Never this! I stay true in what I believe in, and the easy option would be, ‘Yeah, I’ll just take this,’ [but I] continue to fight and spend hundreds of thousands, missing out on big opportunities.’

If Benn is indeed cleared, the first name he will want on his hit list is Eubank Jnr. But first, he must get past Szeremeta on Saturday night.
