Cricket fans’ hearts melted after the children of Andrew Symonds made heartwarming cameo on Fox Sports during the New Year’s Test.
Will and Chloe Symonds dropped into the studio as rain interrupted play on Thursday, and immediately stole the show in adorable scenes.
Speaking to Mark Howard, Adam Gilchrist and Kerry O’Keefe, the children of Aussie legend Symonds – who died in a car crash in May 2022 at the age of 46, spoke about their love for cricket and their thoughts on the Sydney match.
Howard introduced the youngsters: ‘We go to the commentary box and look at these two rock stars.
‘This is Will and Chloe Symonds, of course the children of Andrew and Laura. Chloe, firstly can you give us a weather condition update? What do you think is happening out there?’

Chloe replied: ‘By the looks of it, it’s not clearing up too well so I don’t think play’s going to go through.’
Howard joked: ‘Finally some honesty, Chloe! We’ve been saying it’s going to clear away.’
Will, a budding cricketer, revealed he was treated to a training session with Pakistan superstar Babar Azam, while he received the same bat as Travis Head for his birthday late last year.
He described himself as ‘a batting all-rounder but I also do a bit of keeping’.
‘It’s been going fantastically actually, but my team hasn’t been going so well. We haven’t won a game yet but hopefully we can win a game after the holidays.’
Chloe shared that she is a keen touch footy player and represents Balmain.
