BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left divided over Miranda star Sarah Hadland’s dance choice for the hotly-anticipated series finale on Saturday.

Hadland, 53, and dance partner Vito Coppola, 32, have chosen to perform their Cha Cha Cha routine as one of their routines while the judges will be able to choose their second and third styles on the night.

The pair first danced the Cha Cha Cha in Week Seven of the competition, which earned them an impressive 37 points.

As the decision was announced, viewers on Strictly’s fan-run Reddit forum were split on the move and were quick to share their thoughts.

Several fans were surprised Hadland and Coppola had chosen the Latin number over other options for one of their finale routines.

“A Cha Cha Cha for the final is very brave from Sarah,” one commentator worried.

They continued: “I don’t see how she could improve on 37 tbh. Fluidity was the issue last time and that’s something that takes too long to learn in the space of a few weeks.”

“Didn’t expect the Cha Cha Cha from Sarah. Kinda wanted her AT (Argentine Tango),” another said.

The couple earned a higher 38 points for their Argentine Tango during Halloween Week.

“I think Sarah has strategically picked her CCC as the song is very popular now due to the movie which could potentially give her a boost in votes,” one cynical fan predicted as debate swirled about the decision.

Their Cha Cha Cha was set to Like A Prayer by Madonna which was prominently featured in the hugely successful summer blockbuster superhero film, Deadpool & Wolverine.

Other fans on the forum were happy to see Hadland take on her Week Seven routine again and shared their excitement with the community.

One commentator wrote giddily: “I’m glad Sarah chose her Cha Cha Cha as it’s my personal favourite dance of hers!”

“It’s one of her most popular dances judging by YouTube views too so excellent choice,” they added.

Another agreed: “I was rooting for Sarah and Vito to pick the Cha Cha Cha, and thankfully they did. It was one of her most praised dances by the audience and the judges, and it’s one of the most viewed dances of the season.”

For the finale, Hadland and Coppola will also dance two other routines chosen by the Strictly judges which have yet to be revealed.

Along with Hadland, the dance choices of the other finalists were also announced.

Tasha Ghouri chose her perfectly scored Week 10 American Smooth for her and Aljaz Skorjanec to dance again.

Meanwhile, Lauren Oakley and JB Gill will dance the JLS star’s sensational Week Eight Samba.

Chris McCausland has chosen to perform has emotional Week Five Waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone alongside his partner, Dianne Buswell.
