Waitrose has unveiled its new Easter range for 2025 with the supermarket chain introducing an array of seasonal items.

The launch includes both premium confectionery and traditional seasonal bakes, with the retailer maintaining its commitment to using Fairtrade cocoa across all own-brand confectionery products.

The new range features several products, including the No.1 Chocolate Croissant Egg, which combines rich blonde chocolate with feuilletine and biscuit pieces.

A No.1 Blonde Chocolate & Biscuit Flat Egg joins the lineup, with the bakery selection introducing Easter Bunny Crumpets as a seasonal breakfast option.

Hot cross bun enthusiasts can explore new varieties including No.1 Apricot & Stem Ginger and Apple & Cinnamon flavours.

The retailer has also launched a Hot Cross Bunettone, aiming to put an Easter twist on the traditional Italian panettone, crafted in a family-run bakery in Piedmont.

The premium flat eggs feature indulgent combinations of blonde chocolate, hazelnut praline and crunchy feuilletine with fleur de sel.

The range also includes several smaller treats, with Waitrose launching No.1 Blue Eggs and No.1 Duo Eggs containing sweet surprises.

Confectionery product developer at Waitrose, Sarah Breadmore is keen to note the introduction of the No.1 Chocolate Croissant.

She explained: “Croissants are all the craze with sales of croissants and sweet indulgent treats soaring at Waitrose.

“With the hybrid croissant trend not going anywhere, we’ve seen a rise in everything being about the giant and oversized. This is driven by social media and being able to share food experiences together.”

She said they are perfect for people to share and one of the best additions to the Easter range.

Waitrose is not the only premium supermarket releasing new products in its stores.
