Vito Coppola left Strictly Come Dancing fans struggling to know where to look on Saturday night after taking to the dancefloor with Sarah Hadland.
Kicking off their campaign to bag the Glitterball Trophy, the duo took on an American Smooth on the night – but things soon went awry.
During the final few moments of the dance, Coppola could be seen holding the zip on his trousers despite the routine still being underway.
As he and Hadland eventually finished the dance, the Miranda star burst into laughter when Coppola revealed his trousers had split.
“I’m so sorry,” Coppola repeatedly told Hadland who could only clasp her mouth in shock at the mishap.
With the blunder too big to ignore, Tess Daly soon drew attention to the malfunction when the pair joined her following the performance.
“Oh, my goodness, are you okay, Vito?” Daly said as Coppola nervously chuckled. “We have a wardrobe issue.

“Are you able to maintain your decency?” Daly asked while Hadland got to work trying to conceal the burst flies.
“I shall put a bit of felt there,” Hadland said she used a bit of material from his shirt to cover his crotch.
“Thank you, shall we do a little bit of that,” Daly said as the audience laughed. “We haven’t got enough fabric!”
Trying to turn attention back to the performance, Daly said: “That aside… I wish I had a towel, I don’t have one, sorry – that aside, that was absolutely magical.”

Applause erupted in the studio as Coppola clung onto his outfit before Shirley Ballas weighed in.
“Well there might be a slight malfunction with the trousers but there was no malfunction with the routine,” she critiqued to applause from the crowd.
Ballas went on: “That was absolutely superb. You know what’s extraordinary for me is when I met you for those couple of hours, I gave you so many things to think about… and you remembered everything.
“I’m lucky if I get one or two things remembered by students and I can see that you really worked hard. Did you see the breathing?” Ballas asked Motsi Mabuse.
Her fellow judge replied: “I did, I’m happy, I’m very happy about that dance.”
Anton Du Beke then weighed in: “You’re so captivating to watch, you’re clean as a whistle, which is my favourite thing, I like it when I can read everything.
“It was just a joy. I always loved watching you dance and I love it even more now.”
However, Craig Revel Horwood had some tips: “For me, there was a little bit of gapping. I know, I’m sorry but there was.
“It had a beautiful work, I thought the footwork was really impressive and I thought the lifts were spectacular darling.”
Mabuse added: “I was real impressed with the lightness of your dancing.”
Despite the mishap, Hadland was awarded a near-perfect score of 39 for her first routine.
