Verizon is down across the US, leaving users unable to make phone calls, send text messages or surf the web.

Downdector, a site that monitors online outages, shows issues began around 8am ET with customers reporting mobile phone and internet services are not working.

Customers in New York City, Washington DC and Phoenix have the highest concentration of reported issues.

This marks the second Verizon outage in less than two weeks, with the last hitting in September 30.

Approximately 69 percent of users cited problems with mobile phone service, 21 percent reported problems with 5G Home internet and a small two percent of users said they do not have a signal, according to reports on Down Detector.

Verizon customers have shared their frustration on X, with many posting: ‘Verizon is down again.’

One user joke on the platform, sharing: ‘Don’t worry, you paid your bill. Verizon is down.’ 

However, some customers are furious about another outage in less than two weeks.

‘This is becoming way too frequent. Get it together, Verizon, or I’m walking,’ a customer shared online.

While the cellular giant has not acknowledged the outage, Verizon Support is asking users on X about problems they are experiencing.

Gilbert, who works for Verizon shared: ‘Oh, wow! We are stunned to see you in this dilemma. We are here to help. Let’s gather more info. When did the issue start? What recent changes have you made? Who else is experiencing this problem? Aside from the messages, any other issues?’

Verizon has more than 143 million users in the US – but the amount hit by the outage is unknown.
