A raft of customers of high street lender TSB have been left without child benefit and salary payments due to a systems error in the latest in a series of online banking glitches.
Customers have complained on social media about not receiving salaries and child benefit payments.
The bank said it was working on a fix, but many customers on social media have complained that they have been left without crucial payments in their accounts for many hours.
A TSB spokeswoman said: “We’re aware of an issue with some Bacs payments not yet showing on customers’ accounts.
“We are working on fixing this and will provide an update as soon as possible.”
TSB bank customers reported the issues this morning, with some stating they had not received payments such as child benefit.
The high-street bank, with more than five million customers, has been bombarded with complaints on social media after account holders said they had not received payments.
One X user said: “I just switched to @TSB and already having issues! I’ll be switching right back to another account as soon as they pay my switch bonus!! Shambles of a bank!”
Another said: “Same here! It happens way too often with @TSB. Meant to be paying for my son’s communication app today. Fingers crossed it’s in our account soon.”
The issue, according to Down Detector, appears to be UK wide, with most complaints coming from London, Plymouth, Manchester and Glasgow.
Reports on Down Detector started at around 9am with many claiming that their government ESA payments had not been received.
Around 300 reports of failed services had been made, with 71 per cent of those stating that “funds transfer” was the biggest issue.
Another frustrated user said: “Any update on when this will be fixed? I can’t get to work as was expecting money!
“This is appalling and so bad.”
While another said: “Missing 3 child benefit payments, no one knows where the money is @TSB @HMRCcustomers!!”
HMRC, which deals with child benefit payments said this was “not an issue at our end” but rather with TSB.
