  • Manchester United need to raise funds following their Champions League failure
  • Casemiro and Jadon Sancho are two players they may sell in January window
  • CHRIS SUTTON: Erik ten Hag was WRONG to say Man United played well after their abysmal Champions League exit… is he losing credibility? It’s All Kicking Off

The January transfer window will be opening in just over two weeks and clubs everywhere are gearing up to do business.

All eyes will be on Manchester United after their Champions League failure pushed up the pressure to sell players and raise funds next month.

Jadon Sancho, Casemiro and Raphael Varane are among their players linked with moves away if the right offers come in.

As usual, big-spending Chelsea will also be the centre of attention as they look to buy a top-class striker to solve their scoring woes.

Mail Sport rounds up the latest transfer gossip in our daily column.

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is attracting interest as they look to raise some funds

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, with an unnamed Italian club and the Saudi Arabians Al-Hilal also in the running (Sports Zone via The Sun).

United are, however, struggling to offload cast-out winger Jadon Sancho, with Borussia Dortmund reportedly not keen on taking him back. RB Leipzig have been deterred by his wage demands (The Sun).

But there is potentially some good news for Man United after striker target Serhou Guirassy rejected a new contract offer from his club Stuttgart, who wanted to buy out his £15million release clause to stop him going cheaply (Bild).

RB Leipzig want to keep Liverpool’s Fabio Carvalho, the 21-year-old Portuguese winger, but the Anfield club are keen to get him back (Fabrizio Romano).

Juventus are keen on Arsenal wonderkid Charlie Patino, currently on loan at Swansea, and are willing to offer Moise Kean in exchange (The Sun).

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will target a new central defender in January amid an injury pile-up (Evening Standard).

Spurs and their north London rivals Arsenal both sent scouts to watch Royal Antwerp’s teenage prospect Arthur Vermeeren play against Barcelona in the Champions League this week (90min).

Fulham boss Marco Silva is braced for transfer interest in Joao Palhinha, saying ’10-15 clubs are talking about him’ (Sky Sports).

Wonderkid Kendry Paez will train with the Chelsea first-team next week – the Ecuadorian midfielder is only 16 and won’t join them until 2025 (Daily Telegraph).

Arsenal defender Cedric Soares is attracting the interest of Spanish club Villarreal (ESPN).
