The ease – and, indeed, comfort – of your travel experience can be altered massively by the airport you travel through.

Does the hub have plenty of options for food and drink? Are there comfortable areas to sit while waiting for your flight? What shopping options are available to pass the time?

Now, the world’s best airport and airline have been revealed by Forbes Travel Guide.

For the second year running, Emirates won best international airline.

It’s no surprise, given the popularity of the airline and its reputation for luxury, elegance and high-quality service.

Emirates Airlines is regularly handed the title of World’s Best Airline.

The airline was given the accolade this time in Forbes Travel Guide’s second annual Verified Air Travel Awards.

Meanwhile, Singapore Changi was revealed to be the best international airport.

Earlier this year, the Singapore hub topped the list for a ‘record-breaking’ 13th time at the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards.

Changi has many attractions for travellers – for example, it has a butterfly garden, a rooftop pool and a hedge maze.

Changi’s Rain Vortex has also drawn in much attention as the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, cascading from a height of 40 metres.

Changi was also given the title of best airport dining in this year’s Forbes list.

Other airports that ranked highly on the list include Delta Air Lines as the best US airline  and JSX as the best small line.

In terms of best airports, LaGuardia Airport in New York was handed the title of best in the US by Forbes.

Emirates picked up other awards too – such as Emirates First Class on the Boeing 777-300ER as best international first class.

Emirates First Class Lounge, Dubai was voted the best international airline lounge.

The winners in the Forbes ranking were chosen by a survey of more than 9,000 of the most well-traveled people in the hospitality industry.

‘Today’s travelers are all too often inundated with clever marketing or self-serving focus groups, making it harder than ever to distinguish genuine excellence from polished branding,’ says Peter Greenberg, Emmy Award-winning travel journalist and host of Eye on Travel on CBS Radio.

‘The Verified Air Travel Awards provide a trusted benchmark – an annual check validated by Forbes Travel Guide to separate substance from spin.

‘The real difference here is that these Verified Air Travel Awards aren’t driven by a transient popularity contest but are based on the expertise of the most discerning voices in travel and hospitality.’
