The Wanted singer Max George has been hospitalised after doctors discovered issues with his heart, with the 36-year-old star now facing the prospect of spending Christmas in a hospital bed.
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant was admitted to hospital on Wednesday after feeling unwell, where medical tests revealed concerning cardiac problems.
George now awaits further tests to determine the full extent of his condition and what surgery may be required to aid his recovery.
The singer shared the news with fans on Thursday through a candid social media update.
“Yesterday I felt really unwell and was taken into hospital,” George wrote. “Unfortunately, after some tests, they’ve found that I have some issues with my heart.”

Despite the setback, George remains optimistic, surrounded by a strong support network.
“I’m surrounded with love and support by my wonderful partner Maisie, her family, my family and friends.. and I’m 100% in the best place,” he shared in his statement.
