What did you miss?
The Traitors fans have said the Seer twist has “drained” the tension out of the BBC show’s final.
The penultimate episode of the series saw Frankie win the power to demand one other player reveal their true identity to her. She picked Charlotte, who is the only Traitor left in the game, setting up a dramatic showdown for the final episode on Friday.
As Charlotte is the only remaining Traitor, many viewers have said they can’t see how it can be anything other than a Faithful win now.
What, how and why?
In the show on Thursday, 23 January, the remaining contestants took part in a series of challenges in a bid to bank the most prize money and win the Seer title.
“This is by far the most important mission you have ever faced,” host Claudia Winkleman told them. “Whoever banks the most gold individually will gain a power more valuable than we have ever seen. They will become The Seer.”
After taking on tasks like finding gold coins and gambling with creepy dolls, Frankie was revealed to have made the most money.
She was told about it after the roundtable – during which new Traitor Freddie was banished – and decided to go for Charlotte. The episode ended with the pair sitting opposite each other at a table ahead of the big reveal.
What did viewers say?
Many fans believe that once the identity of the final Traitor has been revealed, the Faithful will definitely win and that the twist has taken the drama out of the final.
“So now I don’t even need to watch tomorrow because I know it’s going to be a Faithful win…… like okay ruined now,” one person said on X.
“I can’t see anything other than a Faithful win,” somebody else wrote on the platform. “They’ll likely banish Charlotte, or Charlotte & Frankie, and win. The Seer makes a good reveal moment, but might have drained any end game tension.”
Another fan asked: “Genuine question, why is this Seer thing a good thing for the show??? The final is ruined no?”

Someone else said: “Really not a fan of this ‘Seer’ twist. Frankie and Charlotte will just argue saying each other are Traitors, the Faithful will have to banish both to be 100% sure, guaranteeing a Faithful win. It’s taken away any of the tension from the finale.”
However, some others think there could still be a way out for Charlotte.
In a piece to camera before her meeting with Frankie, she did hint she would go on fighting as she said: “It is literally her word against mine.”
One fan suggested: “The only road left for Charlotte in The Traitors is to convince Frankie, and the group, that there is another Traitor left, if not two. Team up, clear decks and hope for the best.”
“Charlotte is definitely just going to say Frankie is also a Traitor,” mused someone else.
The Traitors final airs from 8.30pm on BBC One on Friday, 24 January.
