Colin Firth has starred in London-based films such as Love Actually and Bridget Jones’s Diary.

His city life in the movies may not be too far from his reality, as the actor lived in a stunning home in West London.

Colin lived in a Grade II listed Victorian estate in Chiswick, London.

It is located on a leafy street in the private part of the capital city.

Chiswick House is a popular place to visit

He purchased the property in 2005 and it has since been bought by Nick Clegg and his wife, who paid a cool £8million.

Chiswick has access to the attractions, bars and restaurants of London, but it has a quieter feel.

Those who visit can browse independent shops or spend an afternoon at a historic pub.

It is also home to Chiswick House, an 18th century property on 65 acres of gardens.

The house is voted as the number one thing to do in Chiswick on Tripadvisor.

It has amassed nearly 600 reviews with an average rating of four out of five stars.

A visitor commented: “[It’s a] beautiful and relaxing venue immersed in the leafy Chiswick Park.”

Another added it is a peaceful place to spend time in London.

They wrote: “Chiswick Gardens are a lovely oasis of peace and calm close to inner city London.

“Although the gardens are adjacent to the junction of two busy arterial roads the 65 acre park is amazingly quiet and peaceful.”

Chiswick House was also used as a filming location in the popular streaming series Bridgerton.

Enjoying the scenic streets of Chiswick does not come cheap, however.
