The Masked Singer’s Weather may have already had their identity rumbled if data from bookmakers is anything to go by.
Weather will be introduced to the stage by Joel Dommett for the first time on Saturday evening as they take on Rat in their head-to-head battle.
Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall and guest panellist Charlie Simpson will be tasked with trying to identify who the famous face under the disguise could be.
Very little has been revealed about Weather prior to the latest series premiere but fans have been able to study the costume the celebrity will have to wear.
Complete with a headpiece consisting of water droplets, clouds, the sun and thunderbolts, the disguise is truly a sight to behold.
And bookmakers have now decided it’s a costume fitting of someone who spent their career bringing the latest weather headlines to viewers – specifically Michael Fish.
Weather is accompanied to the stage on The Masked Singer
ITV
The 79-year-old presented the weather on the BBC for three decades up to 2004.
And now, he’s a 5/1 favourite to be unmasked as Weather when The Masked Singer returns.
James Leyfield, Betting Expert at Gambling.com, said of the odds about Weather’s identity: “Weather is ‘ready to storm the stage’, according to ITV, and that could be a hint that one of Britain’s best-loved weather presenters Michael Fish could be under the character’s mask.
“The former BBC weather presenter, who took on the role from 1974 to 2004, is just 5/1 with Masked Singer betting sites to be Weather after the character said in their first clue: ‘You know the weather is very unpredictable’.”
Fish made headlines back in 1987 after he famously told viewers not to worry about adverse weather – hours before The Great Storm took hold.
However, he isn’t the only weather presenter in the running.
Leyfield added: “ITV know all about Sian Lloyd after she appeared on ITV Weather for 24 years from 1990 until 2014.
“She is just 14/1 to be on this year’s Masked Singer, while weather forecasters Lucy Verasamy and Laura Tobin are both 20/1.”
Laura Tobin has also been tipped to be under Weather’s mask

The costume clue is certainly enough to sway several fans as well, with one person commenting on The Masked Singer’s Instagram page: “Could be a weather person from daytime show like @gmb.” (sic)
GMB presenter Tobin, 42, does have reality TV on her CV having previously taken part in the ITV competition Drive in 2016.
The same can be said for Lloyd who’s taken part in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! as well as celeb versions of Total Wipeout and First Dates.
Fans will have to tune in to see if Weather will be unveiled as one of the bookies’ choices.
