Mike Parry is “upset” that the “government has hidden” migrants being given the right to work in the UK.
Nearly 16,000 asylum seekers, including those who crossed the Channel in small boats, have been allowed to work in a single year, according to data obtained under Freedom of Information (FOI) laws.
The journalist and broadcaster told GBNews: “I liked it when I read that the people in our country are actually contributing to the economy rather than being made to sit in a hotel room 24 hours a day doing nothing.
“You know, the devil makes work for idle hands and all this kind of stuff. Now what I’m a bit upset about is that the government has hidden this from us for so long.”
