Tesco customers have just over two weeks to take advantage of the supermarket’s Clubcard Christmas Savers scheme and secure free cash for their festive shopping.

The deadline to top up Clubcard Christmas Savers accounts is 11:59pm on October 17, giving customers a limited window to opt in and potentially earn up to £12 in bonus vouchers.

The scheme allows customers to save their Clubcard points throughout the year and use them for their Christmas purchases.

Additionally, customers can now top up their accounts with cash to receive extra bonuses.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “Our Clubcard Christmas Savers scheme helps customers to save their Clubcard vouchers throughout the year so they can use them for their big Christmas shop.”

The bonus structure offers incentives for various savings amounts. Customers who save between £25 and £49.50 receive a £1.50 bonus, while those saving between £200 and £360 can earn the maximum bonus of £12.

These bonus vouchers are typically included in the November Clubcard statement.

Tesco explained: “Plus, you can now top up your savings throughout the year, to a maximum of £360 of your own money, online via the Tesco app or Clubcard website.

“When you reach over £200, you’ll get a £12 bonus on us, to help you save even more for the festive season.”

It’s important to note that bonus vouchers are only valid for three months and expire if unused. However, the larger top-up vouchers, representing the money added to the account, remain valid for two years.

Customers can top up their Clubcard Christmas Savers account online through the Tesco website or app. Unfortunately, in-store top-ups are not available.

The saved funds and bonus vouchers can be spent on the Tesco website, in stores, or on petrol. However, bonus vouchers cannot be used with Clubcard partners for additional rewards.

Tesco encourages customers to keep track of their savings throughout the year. The supermarket stated: “We’ll continue to send you Clubcard statements through the year too, so you can keep track of your savings.”

To participate, customers need to opt in via the ‘voucher schemes’ page on the Tesco website or app. They can then shop with their Clubcard, collect points, and Tesco will save all vouchers earned throughout the year.

In addition to the Christmas Savers scheme, Tesco is set to unveil significant changes to its online shopping experience.

The supermarket is expected to relaunch its own-brand F&F clothing range for online purchase before the end of the year.

The reintroduction of F&F clothing online will allow customers to order directly to their home address through the Tesco website, addressing years of customer inquiries about online clothing purchases.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

This move comes after Tesco shut down its non-food Tesco Direct website section six years ago.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “We’re always looking for ways to improve our online offer for customers and we’ll keep them posted if and when we have anything to share.”
