Pop star Taylor Swift was left unimpressed at the Golden Globes, as host Jo Koy made her the butt of a joke during the ceremony.
Swift attended the star-studded event after being nominated at this year’s awards in a new category, Cinematic and Box-Office Achievement.
The singer’s concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, lost out to Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which amassed over $1.34billion at the Box Office.
The nomination was the fifth in the 34-year-old’s career, but the loss wasn’t the only disappointment for Swift.

Comedian Jo Koy, who was announced as a last-minute replacement for the show just two weeks prior, took to the stage after being booed for his opening monologue.
The 52-year-old welcomed the viewers back to the ceremony as he spoke of the football game which aired beforehand.
Koy opened the segment with: “As you know, we came on after a football doubleheader”.
He then took a swipe a Swift, failing to keep his composure as he joked: “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift!”
Taylor kept a stoic expression as the camera cut to the star, sipping her champagne as she failed to crack even the smallest of smiles.
A low rumble of laughter was heard from the crowd as Swift continued to keep a straight and icy expression.

Swift’s plus one appeared to reassure the ‘Bad Blood’ singer, as she kept her composure following the joke.
Koy then attempts to redeem the joke by apologising, quipping: “I swear, there’s more to go to here. Sorry about that.”
The joke was in reference to Taylor Swift’s current boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League.
The couple were first reported to be dating in July 2023, and have in the last few months gone public with their relationship.
Swift has since attended many of the Chiefs games, and Kelce similarly has been spotted in the VIP section at Taylor’s Eras Tour concerts.
