Aldi is giving families the chance to receive £100 in supermarket vouchers every week for a year as part of a renewed effort to support parents facing rising costs.

The Mamia New Parent Fund will see one family selected each week to receive the voucher, which can be spent in any Aldi store across the UK.

The fund was first introduced last year and attracted thousands of applications, prompting Aldi to bring it back after what it described as strong demand from families seeking help with the cost of baby essentials.

The retailer said the initiative is designed to ease financial pressure on new parents, particularly for everyday items such as nappies, which many families identify as one of the most unexpectedly expensive parts of early parenthood.

A total of 52 vouchers will be awarded over the course of the year, meaning £5,200 will be distributed in total.

Each £100 voucher can be used on any products sold in Aldi stores, including items from the Mamia range, which covers nappies, wipes, baby food and toiletries.

Aldi said its Mamia products are tested to match the quality of branded alternatives while being sold at significantly lower prices.

The fund’s return comes as research highlights the financial strain facing new parents.

Aldi cited findings showing that nearly one in five new parents say regular nappy purchases are among the biggest surprise costs after having a baby.

The retailer said families could save up to £380 in their child’s first year by switching from branded nappies to Mamia own‑brand products.

Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said the supermarket wanted to continue offering practical support to families at a time when household budgets remain under pressure.

“We know that welcoming a baby brings immense joy, but it can also bring unexpected financial challenges at a time when every penny counts,” she said.

“The response to last year’s Fund showed us just how much parents value this support, with thousands applying.

“That’s why we’re bringing the Mamia New Parent Fund back for 2026 to continue giving families a helping hand with those everyday essentials.”

Aldi said the relaunch reflects its wider focus on supporting families through affordable pricing.

The supermarket has been named the UK’s cheapest retailer for five consecutive years and was recently awarded Supermarket of the Year by Mother & Baby.

A spokesman said the fund underlines Aldi’s commitment to helping parents manage their budgets and complements its broader Mamia product range.

Parents wishing to enter the draw must apply by email, sending a message to [email protected].

Applications must include a photograph of a receipt showing a recent Mamia purchase dated within seven days of entry, along with the applicant’s full name, country of residence and email address.

The supermarket’s competition is now open

The competition is open to British residents aged 18 or over, and entries will remain open until January 2027.

An independent panel of judges will select one winner at random each week, with each draw made from valid entries received during the previous seven days.

Winners will receive a £100 Aldi voucher, which can be used in any store nationwide on Mamia products or any other items.

Aldi said winners will be contacted directly after each weekly draw and that full terms and conditions are available on request.
