Captain’s challenge will be introduced to Super League games for 2025.

Teams can now contest a referee’s decision at a stoppage in play and are allowed one unsuccessful challenge per game.

The system was introduced in Australia’s NRL in 2020, external with the aim to reduce the impact of an incorrect refereeing decision on the outcome of a match – while it was also in use in the World Cup in England in 2025.

It will also be operational in all games that are televised in the men’s Challenge Cup and Women’s Super League and Women’s Challenge Cup.
