Super Bowl LX is one of the biggest sporting events in the world, with plenty of Aussies tuning in to catch the showpiece event in the NFL.

From exact kickoff times in every state to the easiest ways to stream it live and free, this is your complete guide to watching the NFL’s showpiece event Down Under.

We break down the blockbuster matchup, the key storylines shaping the contest and the Aussie star chasing history on the sport’s grandest stage.

There’s also a halftime performance already sparking fierce debate before kickoff.

Whether you’re a diehard NFL fan or just in it for the spectacle, here’s everything Australians need to know before the first snap.

What time does Super Bowl kick off in Australia?

The Seattle Seahawks will take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX on Monday AEDT

7:30am AWST – Western Australia

9:00am ACST – Northern Territory

9:30am AEST – Queensland

10:00am ACDT – South Australia

10:30am AEDT – New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Tasmania

How do I watch Super Bowl LX?

Super Bowl LX can be watched live in Australia for free on Channel 7 and 7plus (starting 9:00 am AEDT). Paid options include ESPN (via Foxtel/Kayo Sports/Disney+) and DAZN (NFL Game Pass).

Who is playing in Super Bowl LX?

Super Bowl LX will feature the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots in a rematch of their 2015 title game, set for Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

Seattle earned its spot by finishing with one of the best records in the NFC and powering through the playoffs, including a commanding divisional win over San Francisco and a tight NFC Championship victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

Led by quarterback Sam Darnold and a balanced roster, the Seahawks paired a stingy defense with timely offense on their run to the NFL’s biggest stage.

New England finished with the second-best record in the AFC and battled through three tough postseason matchups, defeating the Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans and Denver Broncos to secure the conference crown.

The Patriots bring a storied Super Bowl history and the chance to claim a seventh Lombardi Trophy, while young quarterback Drake Maye looks to usher in a new era in Foxborough.

Are there any Australians playing in Super Bowl LX?

Australian punter Michael Dickson is set to play for the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX, with the chance to become just the second Australian to feature in a winning team.

If Seattle defeats the New England Patriots, he would also be the first Australian punter to win the Super Bowl.

Widely regarded as the NFL’s best and highest-paid punter, Dickson recently signed a $23.25million contract extension and is the longest-serving player on Seattle’s roster.

The former Sydney Swans academy member switched codes after missing out on the AFL draft and joined Prokick Australia.

After earning a scholarship to Texas and dominating college football, he was drafted by the Seahawks in 2018 and made an immediate impact, earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honours.

Coaches and mentors praise his tactical awareness, versatility and ability to execute under pressure.

Dickson is now a leading figure in Prokick Australia’s success, with the academy producing hundreds of US college scholarships and multiple NFL players.

He becomes the fourth Australian punter to appear in a Super Bowl, with only Jordan Mailata having previously tasted victory as an Australian player.

What is the halftime entertainment?

The halftime entertainment for Super Bowl LX will be headlined by global music superstar Bad Bunny at Levi’s Stadium.

The Puerto Rican artist becomes the first Spanish speaking solo performer to lead the Super Bowl halftime show, a milestone moment for the NFL’s biggest stage.

The league and Apple Music have promoted the performance as a celebration of global culture and the growing international reach of American football.

However, the announcement has sparked debate among some commentators and fans who question whether his style and predominantly Spanish lyrics fit the traditional Super Bowl audience.

A number of critics have called for alternative performers and even floated boycott campaigns, arguing the NFL is shifting away from what they see as mainstream American tastes.

Supporters counter that Bad Bunny is one of the most streamed artists in the world and represents the modern, diverse fan base of the sport.

NFL officials have stood firmly behind the decision, framing the selection as part of the league’s push to broaden its appeal.

As a result, the halftime show is shaping as one of the most talked about elements of Super Bowl LX before a single note has been played.

Who is likely to win Super Bowl LX?

Aussies will need to tune in early to catch all the action and see if Dickson can follow Mailata into Super Bowl folklore

Super Bowl LX looms as a genuine coin flip on paper, with both the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots arriving at Levi’s Stadium boasting identical 14–3 records, but the mood of the nation suggests the momentum sits firmly with Seattle.

Polling across the United States shows the Seahawks drawing almost double the public backing of the Patriots, a striking shift for a franchise that once dominated the sport’s biggest stage.

There is a sense that this is Seattle’s moment, a balanced roster peaking at the right time and carrying the belief of a fan base that has waited patiently for another shot at glory.

New England, rebuilt quickly under Mike Vrabel, have earned respect for their rapid rise, yet questions linger about whether this new era Patriots side can truly own the spotlight the way the Brady dynasty once did.

The Patriots’ path has been defined by resilience and defensive steel, but they have not carried the same aura of inevitability that once made opponents wilt before kickoff.

Seattle, by contrast, have ridden a wave of consistency, composure and timely execution, traits that win tight Super Bowls.

If form holds and pressure does not overwhelm the occasion, Seattle appear marginally better placed to seize the Lombardi Trophy and confirm what much of America already believes.
