Sunrise viewers have been left baffled over co-host Matt Shirvington whereabouts after he failed to appear on the breakfast show this past week.
The show returned to regular programming last Monday, with co-host Natalie Barr appearing on the desk alongside newsreader Edwina Bartholomew and sports reporter Mark Beretta.
But Shirvo has been notably absent from Brekky Central, with Matt Doran filling in for the former Olympic athlete.
Fans of the program took to social media to question Shirvo’s return.
‘Where was Shirvo?’ one viewer asked, while another similarly penned, ‘Have I missed something?? Where’s Shervo!!’

Channel Seven have since confirmed that Shrivo will be back on Sunrise Wednesday morning after enjoying his holidays as well as an assignment for the show.
Meanwhile, some fans have enjoyed seeing a fresh face in place of Shirvo, with many suggesting Matt Doran take his place for good.
‘Great to see Matt Doran on the desk again,’ someone said.
‘Please keep Matt on during the week. Like a breath of fresh air,’ added another.

One user wrote: ‘Shirvo is a nice guy, but Matt is a much better presenter. More spontaneous, articulate and a great interview and reporter!’
In November, Shivo’s shock Channel Seven career move was revealed.
The television presenter has been filming scenes for a guest acting role in the long-running drama Home and Away.
Details of Shirvington’s appearance in the show have been kept secret, but 7News reports that the celebrity will be ‘playing himself’ on the hit soap.

The episode featuring Shirvington is set to air some time this year and was filmed at Palm Beach on Sydney’s northern beaches.
One of the notable stars was Ray Meagher, who plays Alf Stewart.
‘As a kid who grew up watching Home and Away, it was all a bit surreal to be in Summer Bay with Alf Stewart,’ Shirvington told Seven.
‘What a fun experience. The entire cast and crew were so welcoming and generous with acting tips and advice for this novice.
‘I think this will be one of those things my kids are never going to let me live down!’
Shirvington’s appearance on the beloved soap adds to a growing list of Sunrise stars who have tried out their acting skills on the show.
In 2007 former Sunrise host David ‘Kochie’ Koch enjoyed a two-line cameo on the show, which showed the 67-year-old TV veteran mingling in the bar at the Summer Bay surf club.
Koch is seen holding a stubby and saying ‘yeah sure’.
And in 2021 Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac appeared as a ‘VIP guest’ at a Summer Bay soiree.
Shirvington rose rose to fame in 1998 as a marathon sprinter at the Commonwealth Games in Malaysia, and later competed at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
In June, Athletics star turned TV host Shirvington was crowned David Koch’s successor at Sunrise after a three-year plan to prepare him for the top job.
The official announcement was made during the breakfast show, four days before Koch filmed his final show.
The father-of-three shares daughters Sienna, 17, Winnie, 15, and son Lincoln, five, with his wife Jessica, who he married after meeting when they were just 17 years old.
