Ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing finale, head judge Shirley Ballas has picked her favourite star to dance with.
In tonight’s (December 14) episode of Strictly: It Takes Two, Janette Manrara welcomed Ballas to the studio, where the judge revealed what Strictly star she’d love to share the dance floor with were she given the chance.
Answering a fan’s question, Ballas had no doubt, choosing fellow judge Anton Du Beke for a contemporary dance.

“Well, the person I would pick wasn’t actually a Strictly champion, he was a professional,” Ballas said, adding: “It would have to be Anton Du Beke”.
Ballas went on to describe what kind of outfits they’d be wearing, imagining Du Beke in “a very loose silk shirt” while she’d be donning “a see-through chiffon dress, no shoes”.
The head judge then explained what kind of dance she’d want to try with Du Beke, saying she’d like for it to be a “contemporary number” with the two of them “dancing in each other’s face, adorning around one another”.
“That is my wish,” she continued. “Dancing with Anton Du Beke on the show.”

Ballas’s rapturous description of her dream dance captivated Manrara, who asked: “Can we make this happen?”
“Can we speak to the producers? We need to make this happen!” she continued.
Ballas also reflected on this season drawing to a close, with finalists Bobby Brazier and Diane Buswell, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, and Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin facing each other on December 16.
The judge promised a “very, very tight final”.
“Don’t underestimate Bobby,” she said. “Layton is coming in with all the strength and Ellie is determined as the only female standing, she’s not leaving without the trophy.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
