Stephen A. Smith launched a furious and foul-mouthed attack on Jason Whitlock on Wednesday’s edition of the Stephen A. Smith Show, branding his rival ‘the devil’ and even claiming he is worse than a ‘white supremacist’.

The X-rated tirade came after Whitlock penned a column claiming details in Smith’s recently-released memoir did not ‘add up’.

On Wednesday afternoon, Smith teased a savage response, vowing: ‘Today is the day I finally speak my mind about that no good fat b******.’ The host of ESPN’s ‘First Take’ then unloaded on his rival over 59 brutal minutes.

‘I hate this b*****. Far more than a little bit. He is the worst human being any of you will ever meet,’ Smith said.

‘You get within a mile of his presence, wrap your arms around yourself to protect your soul. He is Cain. He is a devil, the worst.’

Smith added: ‘He’s a piece of s***, he’s the dude that’s going to have a funeral and there ain’t going to be no pallbearers… there might be two people that show up.

‘He’s that dude. He’s the absolute worst. And he lies. And he incriminates. And he tries to set people up to fail.’

The ESPN host suggested Whitlock’s modus operandi is to ‘put himself in front of white folks… that may have a problem with black folks.’

‘He says “I’m your man”… ask ESPN. Ask Fox. Ask the Kansas City Star. Ask them all,’ Smith claimed.

‘I could not imagine as a black man – knowing our history – anything worse than a white supremacist. That is until Jason Whitlock came along. He’s worse than them. He is the worst, most despicable, lying, no-good, fat-a** human being I have ever known in my life.’

Smith also accused Whitlock – a ‘despicable dude’ – of having ‘evil, vile tendencies.’

‘My name for Jason Whitlock is religiously Cain,’ he explained. ‘A lot of black folks, we talk about how we’re the original man on the face of this Earth. Well that means Cain was the original murderer because he’s the one – according to the Bible – who killed Abel.

'He's the dude that's going to have a funeral and there ain't going to be pallbearers,' Smith said

‘That is Jason Whitlock. There is nothing good about him. Absolutely nothing. And I challlenge anybody that knows anything about him to refute what I’m saying.’

The ‘First Take’ host even taunted Whitlock about his career and accuzed him of treachery.

‘You betrayed me, did you tell the folks that?’ You b****. Did you tell them? You fat piece of s***. Did you tell them that?’ he continued.

‘I said to (ex-NBA player) Isiah Thomas, I said to (sportswriter) Dan Le Batard: “If you care anything about our friendship, don’t ever call me about him again.”

‘I’m a very forgiving person. Not with him. I don’t care what beef I had, I don’t care how many of you out there hate me, whatever former athletes, all this stuff… man, please. I’m sorry. Because I certainly don’t hate y’all.

‘We might have our differences from time to time. But it ain’t ever that. This is the exception.’

Smith revealed that he had briefed his nieces, nephews, sisters and ‘boys in the industry’ about the inflammatory attack he was planning.

He also went as far as asking his pastor for forgiveness.

‘I literally called my pastor and asked for his forgiveness and understanding in advance,’ Smith said, ‘because he’s not going to recognize the person he’s about to hear.’

He added: ‘All the executives at all the networks, they know what a piece of s*** he is. And they begged me not to do this. But even my pastor said: “I’m not happy about it but every now and then we got to do what we got to do.”

After clips of Smith’s rant flooded social media, several other journalists backed his comments.

‘EVERYWORD!! (I’ve) been telling y’all this about that waste of skin! After this, it’s really time to ignore him & cut off the little oxygen that’s even getting to (his) head,’ said Fox Sports’ Mike Hill said.

‘Watch and see if there is a single, solitary Black soul in sports media who has anything positive to say about Whitlock, or comes to his defense,’ ESPN’s Stan Verrett added on social media. ‘Everybody knows. Everybody.’
