The success was made possible through the support of numerous generous champions.

Key contributors included The Reed Foundation, Julia Rausing Trust, The Childhood Trust, and The Hospital Saturday Fund.

Additional support came from ShareGift, Steve Morgan Foundation, Candis Magazine, Hampshire Cricket Foundation, and Aesseal.

The Coles-Medlock Foundation was also among the notable organisations that helped achieve this milestone.

This extensive network of partners enabled The Big Give to double the impact of public donations through their matched funding programme.

The evening featured performances from several notable artists and personalities.

Bridgerton star Adjoa Andoh spoke about Tree Aid, a charity she patrons, highlighting the impact of funds raised through Big Give.

Poet and broadcaster Lemn Sissay delivered an engaging poem, sharing his personal connection to The Foundling Museum.

The audience was treated to a musical performance by pianist Ayane Nakajima, who delivered an elaborate rendition of George Gershwin’s Embracable You.

The Duchess of Edinburgh was particularly moved by the piano performance, telling Nakajima: “That was so beautiful and incredibly quick.”
