Expensive skin care or trips to the dermatologist can provide excellent results if you’re after fabulous skin in your 60s and beyond. But maintaining healthy practices at home is also pivitol.
A 60-year-old former model and makeup artist took to TikTok to share her “tips to thrive at 60 years or any age”. She advised ladies to stop touching and tugging at their face – particularly around the eyes.
Morgan Schick (@morganschick on TikTok) told women: “Do not touch your face. Do not pull, do not tug, do not pick.
“Bacteria-ridden fingers – unless you are washing your face and doing your makeup in the morning – should not be touching your face.”

She added: “You don’t want to make one pimple into five by spreading bacteria.”
Emphasising the importance of leaving the area around your eyes alone, Morgan continued: “Don’t tug your skin, don’t rub your eyes, don’t pull on the delicate skin to do your eyeliner.
“I had people do this when I was a model and I vowed in my 20s not to allow anyone to tug or pull on my skin as it’s super thin – and it will be elastic when you’re young but when you’re older and you pull on it, you’ll notice that it doesn’t bounce back.
“So start early and do not pull, tug or touch your face at all.”
The experts at Dr Aesthetica medical aesthetic clinic confirmed that touching your face needlessly can cause wrinkles later down the line.
They said: “Do you have a bad habit of rubbing your eyes? Even if you avoid smoking, drinking, sun damage, and sugary foods, rubbing your face can cause ageing skin.
“Think of your skin as a rubber band. When it’s new and elastic, it snaps back to its original shape after being pulled.
“But constantly pulling that rubber band will stretch it out. Similarly, constantly rubbing your face will cause your skin to become less firm and increase wrinkles.”
