Recent polling data has shown whether Brits think levels of immigration to the UK have been too high or too low in the last 10 years.

According to a YouGov poll, amongst all adults, 68 per cent think that the level of immigration into Britain has been too high.

This is overwhelmingly higher than those who believe the levels of immigration are too low (5 per cent), those who think it is about right (16 per cent) and those who don’t know (12 per cent).

It’s also the first time since 2020 that nearly 70% of the British public believe immigration is too high.

The question does not specify what type of immigration is “too high” or “too low” but asks: “Generally speaking, do you think the level of immigration into Britain over the last ten years has been too high, too low or about right?”
