A shirtless Buffalo Bills fan was seen sliding through the snow at Highmark Stadium on Sunday after volunteering to clear the field ahead of their rearranged playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Wild Card Round fixture, originally scheduled to go ahead at 1pm EST on Sunday, was postponed over the weekend and moved to Monday due to the dangerous snowstorm currently wreaking havoc in Buffalo.

With fears growing that it could be delayed again amid a Buffalo travel ban, the Bills called on supporters who live close to Orchard Park to help clear the field of snow ahead of Monday’s game, even offering them $20 an hour to do so.

And in one incredible clip circulating on social media, one fan seemed to be having a whale of a time while doing his bit at Highmark Stadium.

The man in question can be seen sliding down a snow shoot that runs through the stands – which appears to have been set up to help shovel snow down from the top of the stadium – without wearing a shirt despite the blizzard conditions in Buffalo.

At the start of the video the brave supporter is wearing a hat, before losing it as he throws himself onto the slide.

He then pulls himself down using both arms and even swings a t-shirt above his head in jubilation as his frosty ride comes to an end.

Fans were quick to heap praise on the supporter for his dedication to the cause, with one writing on X: ‘As a Steelers fan… I love this guy!’

Another said: ‘This. Here. Is. Gold.’

A third commented: ‘bills mafia is built diff lol’.

‘Because we love our team,’ wrote a fourth. ‘Kudos to these guys. Just came in from outside its brutal out there’.

While one put: ‘Hope they are getting free tickets to the game’.

The Bills and the Steelers may have to wait even longer to contest their NFL playoff game with a travel ban in Buffalo set to remain in place throughout Sunday

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for much of Western New York earlier this week, including Orchard Park where the Bills play their home games. On Saturday, Governor Kathy Hochul then confirmed the Steelers showdown would be delayed after declaring a state of emergency.

And with blizzard conditions expected to engulf Buffalo throughout Sunday, there are fears that the playoff game could be postponed for a second time.

Shovelers have also been instructed by the Bills to abide by Buffalo travel restrictions and steer clear of the arena for now, meaning Highmark Stadium will likely still need to be cleared of snow in the last few hours before the game on Monday.

After their playoff fixture was put on hold this weekend, Bills offensive lineman Alec Anderson was seen coming to the rescue of a driver left stranded as torrential snow continued to fall in Buffalo on Sunday morning.
