• Collingwood AFL star Josh Daicos is now engaged
  • Got on bended knee for glamorous girlfriend Annalise Dalins
  • Many of his teammates passed on their best wishes

A new video has captured the moment AFL star Josh Daicos has displayed his romantic side – and once again enjoyed some September glory – while proposing to his glamorous girlfriend Annalise Dalins in Greece.

Footage shows the moment the Collingwood premiership player asked the most important question of his life – and the backdrop was nothing short of breathtaking.

The engagement news broke on Sunday, and was greeted with joy by the Magpies and several of Daicos’s teammates.

It will also somewhat atone for his team failing to play finals footy in 2024, after winning the flag just over 12 months ago.

His brother and fellow AFL star Nick Daicos posted ‘Hugeee’ in response to the announcement on Instagram, with Magpies captain Darcy Moore chiming in with a ‘congratulations’.

Teammates including Isaac Quaynor, Jack Crisp, Dan McStay, Oleg Markov and Tom Mitchell also passed on their best wishes for the sporting power couple.

Brooke Warne – daughter of the late Australian cricket great Shane Warne – posted: ‘congratulations lovers, so happy for you both.’

Daicos made his AFL debut in 2017 and has gone on to become one of the league’s best players, while his wife-to-be Dalins works as a model signed to leading agency Vivien’s.

They met at a Melbourne bar in between Covid lockdowns, where they enjoyed an ‘instant connection.’

‘I had butterflies. I was very nervous, but Josh made it easy because he was so outgoing,’ she said.

‘We got on like a house on fire straight away! Coffee dates soon became dinner dates.’

Speaking to News Corp about their blossoming romance, Dalins added: ‘It is really nice we are both growing as individuals and also our relationship is growing.

‘Over the past year we’ve just been recognising all the small achievements because that’s what leads to the big ones.’
