Sarah Ferguson appeared to snub her ex-husband Prince Andrew as she thanked her family for support amid her health battle.

Fergie, 64, recently underwent treatments for breast and skin cancer, and is now on a mission to encourage the public to never skip their medical appointments.

She was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a form of skin cancer, in January 2024, just a year after her breast cancer diagnosis.

In a new health update, Sarah confirmed she has undergone a single mastectomy with breast reconstruction, while the malignant melanoma and the skin nearby were excised and other moles tested for any signs of cancer.

She continued to tell The Sun: “I’ve been told by my physicians that I shouldn’t use the phrase “cancer free”, but treatment has been successful and tests show there has been no spread or recurrence.

“I’m reconciled to the fact that I will have to have checks for the rest of my life. I’m now determined to do whatever I can to raise awareness by sharing my experience.”

The former working royal went on to thank her family for their support, however, she stopped short of mentioning the Duke of York, with whom she continues to cohabitate at Royal Lodge.

She said: “With the love and support of my family, especially my girls Beatrice and Eugenie, I have stayed positive and been informed that my outlook is good.”

Princess Beatrice, 36, and Princess Eugenie, 34, have spoken openly about the love they have for their mother and their support for the duchess amid her treatment.

For example, Beatrice told This Morning in May earlier this year: “She’s doing really well.

“She’s had a bumpy health scare last year but all clear now.

“At 64 she’s thriving; she’s been through so much, but I think really now she’s coming into her own.”

On the other hand, Prince Andrew, who stepped down as a working royal in 2019, has not spoken publicly about his ex-wife’s cancer diagnoses.

However, the couple continue to live together in Windsor, suggesting a close and cordial relationship with each other.

The duke was forced to step back from public life after his career-ending interview on Newsnight in 2019, where he discussed his friendship with the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew and Sarah tied the knot in 1986 at Westminster Abbey, before divorcing a decade later.
