Sarah Ferguson made a paid partnership post promoting a mental health app, just one month after King Charles “cut off” Prince Andrew’s annual allowance.

The Duchess of York, 65, who recently battled two forms of cancer, took to Instagram to recommend Zoul, a meditation and wellness app in which she is an equity partner.

The partnership announcement comes shortly after her former husband Prince Andrew, 64, was stripped of his £1million yearly allowance by the King.

In her Instagram video, filmed on the Windsor Estate, Fergie spoke about finding “real joy and peace” through mindfulness practices.

“It wasn’t cancer that kickstarted me into taking the shackles off my heart, but it was because of mindfulness and mental wellness,” she shared.

The duchess was filmed walking in a garden with two dogs, including one of the late Queen’s corgis.

“I like to walk in the garden, I like to walk and be really mindful about gratitude,” she explained in the video, before demonstrating a moment of mindful silence on a bench.

In her caption, Sarah acknowledged her recent skin and breast cancer diagnoses, saying: “I’m not ashamed to say that it’s been tough.”

According to an updated biography by royal writer Robert Hardman, King Charles instructed his Keeper of the Privy Purse to end his brother’s annual personal allowance in November.

The allowance was believed to be around £1million per year, with Charles also cutting funding for Andrew’s private security detail.

“The duke is no longer a financial burden on the King,” a source confirmed to The Mail in November.

The King has also made clear his wish for Andrew to move out of Royal Lodge, his 30-room mansion at Windsor, where he continues to reside with Sarah.

The former couple have lived together at the property since 2008, despite their divorce.

As part of the partnership, Zoul will provide audio content in 17 languages to support communities worldwide facing mental health challenges.

The app will also make donations to Sarah’s Trust, the duchess’s charity, to fund mental health and wellness initiatives across the UK and globally.

The mother-of-two expressed pride in the collaboration, stating: “Our shared mission to bring mindfulness and a focus on mental wellbeing to everyday life is something I truly believe in.”

She announced plans to share more of her journey with Zoul throughout 2025, offering her audio messages and a personal letter free to users on the app.

The former couple spent Christmas alone at Royal Lodge this year, while their daughters celebrated elsewhere.

Princess Beatrice joined King Charles and the wider Royal Family at Sandringham for the festivities. Princess Eugenie, 34, spent the holiday season with her husband Jack Brooksbank and his family.

The Duke of York had voluntarily decided to skip the Royal Family’s Sandringham celebrations, with he and Sarah choosing to remain at their Windsor residence.

The decision came amid hopes from King Charles and Queen Camilla that Sarah might persuade her ex-husband to “see sense” and withdraw from public gatherings during the festive period.
