A charity in Salford is celebrating funding more than “200 life-saving missions” transporting critically ill babies and children across the UK.

Since 2021, the Children’s Air Ambulance charity shop in Salford has raised £885,456, enabling the service to fly sick children from one hospital to another for specialist care in clinically-designed helicopters.

Alan Edwards, who manages the store in Regent Retail Park, said: “The funds raised in our store will help to save little lives.

“Without this support we wouldn’t have been able to continue to raise vital funds to support the charity’s life-saving missions.”
