Europeans and Americans come from different cultures and continents, and each may have different perceptions of the other.
Plus, millions head from the States to Europe for their holidays each year.
But there’s one unlikely European country that has been found to dislike Americans the most.
In a survey, over 2,000 Europeans revealing what they really think of tourists jetting over from the US, it was the Netherlands that was the most negative towards Americans.
Around 39.6% of participants from the Netherlands admitted they had not so great views of travellers from the States.
Portugal and Belgium scored highly too, with 37.7% and 37.5% respectively saying they have a negative perception on Americans.
Denmark and Sweden closely followed with 37% and 36.9%.
Others were more positive, and Poland had the least amount of respondents reporting negative opinions (15%).

Hungary (17.5%), Czechia (17.8%), Ireland (18.3%), and the UK (20.6%) came next.
Meanwhile, the survey – conducted by travel website Upgraded Points – revealed France topped the charts as the destination that sees itself as unwelcoming to American visitors, scoring 15%.
Hungary followed in second place with 8.7%, then Norway at 8%, followed by Denmark (7.5%), and Spain (6.9%).
Americans may not be surprised with the result, however.
When asked which countries they felt saw them least favourably, nearly half (47%) said France.
However, other destinations were more likely to greet travellers from the States with open arms.
Belgium and Italy received the lowest number of respondents, with only 1.9% and 2% saying their country would be unwelcoming.
They were followed by Estonia, the Netherlands, Finland, and Poland who all scored 3%.

As for those who admitted locals might feel annoyed by Americans, Portugal came top with 18%.
Belgium was next with 18.3%, followed by Ireland (17.4%), the Netherlands (14.9%), and Denmark (14.8%).
It comes after an American revealed the British supermarket staples she thinks would ‘unsettle’ people in the UK.
In a video, Paige Wester, who lives in Newcastle, reached for a bottle of HP Sauce – a type of brown sauce – before launching a scathing attack on the condiment.
