Reuben Owen and his girlfriend Jessica Ellwood have taken to social media to reflect on the first few months of their romance.
The Our Yorkshire Farm star confirmed he’d struck up a new relationship in November after announcing his split from longtime girlfriend Sarah Dow earlier this year.
Ellwood stayed out of the spotlight prior to striking up a romance with Owen, similarly working as a farmer in the Dales.
In the weeks since going public with their relationship, Ellwood and Owen have been enjoying life in Yorkshire working together as a couple.
They’ve received the seal of approval from Owen’s mum Amanda and sister Raven on social media and Ellwood even took a huge step in their relationship by declaring her love for the young farmer.
Now, Owen has returned to social media to reflect on the past 12 months ahead of New Year’s Day – and Ellwood inevitably played a part in that.
Owen took to TikTok to share a video montage of his highlights from the past 12 months.
The compilation featured both he and Ellwood hard at work behind the wheel of their diggers and machinery as well as videos of the giant work projects Owen’s been tackling.
Of course, there was also space for several loved-up images and clips featuring the young couple.
Looking back in the accompanying caption, Owen shared a love-heart emoji alongside the message: “It’s been some year #digging #plant #life #2024.”
Reciprocating the fondness for their first few months as a couple, Ellwood shared love-heart emojis and simply replied with the one-word gesture: “Memories.”
She wasn’t the only one to react to her beau’s final update of the year as several followers soon weighed in to praise the young farmer for his work and newfound romance.
“Smashed this year pal fair play,” one fan replied before a second simply put: “Go lad Ruben.”
Elsewhere, a third heaped on the praise: “Go on lad your an inspiration to young men and women keep going.”
“Keep going doin a job,” added a fourth before a fifth commented: “Morning sir been some building of foundations, long may it continue here’s to a great new year ahead ave a good one.” (sic)
Owen will soon be back on screens for all-new episodes of his family’s hit More4 series, Our Farm Next Door.
The series is currently on hiatus after airing the first few episodes in October and November.
In it, estranged husband and wife duo Amanda and Clive Owen reunite to tackle the job of restoring a derelict farmhouse near Ravenseat to its former glory.
Similar to their Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm, the mum and dad of nine are joined by their kids to take on the job.
Channel 4 is yet to confirm an official release date for when the series will return.
