Speaking today in an update for GB News members, Mark said: “Well, some real concern about the potential for a terrorist attack in the UK that’s linked to the conflict in Gaza.
“Sources telling me that it may only be a matter of time before we see that kind of terrorist incident on the streets of the UK.”
Mark went on to explain the reality of the security situation across Europe at the moment: “We’ve already had terrorist attacks in Brussels and in France. Their threat level has been raised as a consequence of that.
“Well counter-terror command, they’re not speaking to the likelihood of a terror attack but they are trying to get the message out that in the run up to Christmas in particular, people should be extra vigilant.
“They say that since the conflict in Israel began on the 7th of October, they’ve had a 700% increase to the Counter Terror Hotline, indicating the real concerns that members of the public have.
“At Christmas in particular in the mindset of these terrorists, it has extra significance.
“Not only that many people are crowded together doing Christmas shopping or attending special Christmas events, so the message is not to be alarmed, but to certainly be extra vigilant in the run up to Christmas.”
