  • Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has named his starting XI vs Galatasaray
  • Marcus Rashford is suspended, Antony is back in, as is striker Rasmus Hojlund
  • Pressure is easing on Man United boss Erik ten Hag: Listen to It’s All Kicking Off

Erik ten Hag has made four changes to his starting XI for tonight’s crucial Champions League clash away to Galatasaray and there is a timely return for one of their brightest young stars.

There is a return to the line-up for £72million striker Rasmus Hojlund, who missed Sunday’s trip to Everton through injury.

Hojlund’s return is keenly felt given he has been a revelation in the Champions League with five goals already in the tournament. Only PSV Eindhoven’s Luuk de Jong, who has seven this season, boasts more.

The Dane will lead the line in place of Anthony Martial and he will be flanked by Alejandro Garnacho – fresh off his wondrous overhead kick at Goodison Park – and Antony, who has returned to the side in place of Marcus Rashford, who is suspended after his red card against FC Copenhagen.

Elsewhere, there is a return at right back for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who replaces Diogo Dalot, and impressive youngster Kobbie Mainoo drops to the bench in favour of Sofyan Amrabat in midfield.

On the bench, academy striker Joe Hugill finds himself among the substitutes.

It is a massive night for Ten Hag and Manchester United as defeat would see them eliminated from the Champions League.

Hojlund scored twice against Galatasaray at Old Trafford, only to find himself on the losing team as United shot themselves in the foot that night to lose 3-2.

They cannot afford a repeat tonight and should they fail to win this evening their fate to reach the last-16 would be out of their control heading into the final round of matches when they host Bayern Munich.

Manchester United’s starting XI: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw; McTominay, Amrabat; Antony, Fernandes (c), Garnacho; Hojlund.

Substitutes: Bayindir, Heaton, Dalot, Reguilon, Varane, Gore, Hannibal, Mainoo, Hugill, Martial, Pellistri.
