The Queen has unveiled the new Bromham Community Hub as she met local representatives and organisations who use the building.
The new hub, which features a cafe and flexible community spaces, aims to bring back village life to the community, as well as reduce isolation and support the community’s mental wellbeing.
Inside the hall, Camilla met with several groups and organisations, including supporters of the development, professionals involved in the Hub’s construction, and community groups who use the new space.
One of those groups is the Bromham Stitchers’ Group.

The Queen went on to meet members of the Bromham Gardening Club, who designed and planted the centre’s outside areas.
The King and Queen last visited Bromham in July, which was the then Duchess of Cornwall’s 60th birthday.
They unveiled a commemorative stone in the Hub’s car park following a visit to St Nicholas’ Church.

In June 2021, a devastating fire ripped through Bromham’s long-standing Social Centre, which had served the community since 1974.
The loss was deeply felt within the community, so they came together to help raise funds to rebuild the centre through a combination of fundraising initiatives.
Construction commenced in September 2024, and the building was officially handed over to the trust in July 2025.

In memory of Craig Dalby, who served for over 30 years with Wiltshire Police and passed away at the start of the year, his friends in the Bromham Wednesday Club completed a 350mile bike ride to raise funds, and volunteered their time to successfully complete the side and rear patio areas that now surround the new Hub.
Her Majesty concluded by planting a cherry tree in memory of PC Craig Dalby.

Camilla had spent the earlier part of the day in Coresham, as she visited The Poppy Project.
The project was set up by The Peacock Women’s Institute at the beginning of 2025 with a goal to create 10,000 poppies by the end of the year.

The community came together and created over 31,000 poppies across the UK and overseas, by youth groups, residential homes, and businesses.
She attended a poppy workshop, where she took the time to meet those involved in the making of the flowers.
She went on to view some of the decorated store fronts and flower planters, as well as met with youth groups and members of Wadswick Green Retirement Village who had helped with the poppy making project.
