Queen Camilla has pulled out of making public appearances at Remembrance services this weekend as she battles a chest infection.
The Queen has been resting at home on doctors’ orders and announced on Tuesday that she was unable to attend engagements this week.
Camilla did not initially rule out making appearances at the Remembrance events this weekend.
However, she has been unable to recover in time.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “Following doctors’ guidance to ensure a full recovery from a seasonal chest infection, and to protect others from any potential risk, Her Majesty will not attend this weekend’s Remembrance events.
“While this is a source of great disappointment to The Queen, she will mark the occasion privately at home and hopes to return to public duties early next week.”
Members of the Royal Family will attend the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall tonight.
King Charles became Patron of the Royal British Legion earlier this year.

The Festival will be attended by King Charles, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal.
The Queen was disappointed to miss Thursday’s Field of Remembrance event.
The Duchess of Gloucester attended event as a representative of the Queen.
King Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February and took a short break from royal duties following the diagnosis.

The couple just concluded a landmark tour of Australia and Samoa and Buckingham Palace have outlined that they plan to do further overseas engagements in 2025.

A senior palace official said: “The King gets great strength from the Queen being there, not least because she keeps it real.”
They added: “It’s hard to overstate the joy that he (King Charles) takes from duty and service and being in public and seeing those crowds engaging with communities across the spectrum.That really does lift his spirits. You can see that.”
