Princess Kate’s uncle Gary Goldsmith is “shockingly misguided” to sign up for Celebrity Big Brother, according to royal expert Jennie Bond.
The relative of the Princess of Wales is set to make a bombshell appearance on ITV’s reboot of the show.
Other rumoured contestants are Former This Morning host Fern Britton, The X Factor stars Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne and Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin.
According to a royal insider, the Middleton family are “not happy” about him signing up for the show.

Goldsmith’s sister, Carole Middleton, is reportedly “infuriated” by the decision and held crunch talks with him.
The insider told The Sun: “Gary said he’s been read the riot act by Kate’s mum Carole and her dad Michael.
“They aren’t happy he’s going into Celebrity Big Brother. It is infuriating for them. Kate doesn’t need this stress.”
Reacting to the signing, former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond slammed Goldsmith for using his “one claim to fame” to get into reality television.

Bond fumed: “He’s shockingly misguided. He’s got a good heart and he’s very fond of his niece, the Princess. But this is so demeaning. It is so tacky, it’s so tasteless of him to do this.”

Bond told GB News host Martin Daubney: “It’s the last thing that William and Catherine would want. And I know, I’ve been in a reality shows, I was in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
“I was in that jungle for nearly three weeks and I know, even as a professional broadcaster, there are moments when you forget just a little bit that the cameras are rolling, and then whatever you say can go out to millions of people. He has got to be absolutely on his guard and I rather doubt he’ll be able to do that.”
Martin noted: “Let’s face it, he’s in there because they want some sort of gossip or dirt to be dished on the royals.”
Bond agreed: “They want him to sing like a canary, but I don’t think he’s going to do that. I just think there might be moments when his judgement lapses. I think he’s had a big lapse of judgement in even going in the house.”

Discussing the feud between Goldsmith and the Middleton family, Bond admitted: “I cannot see that any good is going to come out of it. He’s clearly fallen out with his sister Carole Middleton over this. I think the whole family is furious with him.
“Why is he doing it? The man is a millionaire. He has everything he wants, one assumes, in life. Is he craving some kind of celebrity? This is Celebrity Big Brother.
“His only claim to fame is the fact that his niece is a future Queen, and that’s quite a claim, but does that make him a celebrity?”
