Princess Kate is “very much on the road to recovery” as she marks her first State Visit at Buckingham Palace since her cancer diagnosis, it has been claimed.
The Princess of Wales joined husband Prince William and King Charles as they greeted the Emir of Qatar and first wife Sheikha Jawaher at Horse Guards Parade.
Queen Camilla was notably absent from the proceedings as she recovers from a battle with pneumonia, Buckingham Palace confirmed today.
Detailing the occasion on GB News, Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker highlighted the significance of Kate’s advance participation notice, which marked a positive development in her cancer recovery journey.

“If you remember, very soon after her preventative chemotherapy, the guidance we were getting was that we wouldn’t really find out if the princess would be doing an engagement until the day itself,” he said.
“But the fact that they gave us notice suggests that she is very much on the road to recovery,” Walker added.
Noting the Princess’s nod to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Cameron revealed details of the royal’s chosen outfit for the occasion.
He explained: “The Princess wore a coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and a hat by Sahar Millinery.
“Her Royal Highness also wore jewellery which used to belong to the late Queen Elizabeth II, so quite poignant for Her Royal Highness.”

Despite her attendance at the ceremonial welcome, the Princess will not participate in Tuesday evening’s state banquet at Buckingham Palace.
Her schedule remains carefully managed, with Walker noting she will only attend the morning ceremonial events, procession, private lunch and viewing of pictures.
The Princess is set to host her fourth annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey on Friday.

“A source very close to the Princess told me this morning that she is involved in every aspect of the preparations for that.”
In recent weeks, the Princess has gradually returned to public duties, including travelling with William to Southport, England.
She has also joined other royal family members at events marking Remembrance Sunday, signalling her continued recovery and phased return to royal engagements.
